Sports Sensors, Inc. was founded in 1998 to develop and market sensors and related products for sports applications. The Glove Radar® was the first product to matriculate into production; the Paintball RADARchron® and Arrowspeed RADARchron® followed in 2000 and 2001 respectively; and the Swing Speed Radar® for baseball/softball and golf was introduced in 2003 and the Swing Speed Radar® with Tempo Timer was introduced in 2005. A Japanese version of our Glove Radar® has been developed and is undergoing certification tests in Japan.. U.S. Patent 5,864,061 was issued on January 26, 1999, followed by U.S Patents 6,079,269; 6,378,367B1; 6,666,089 and 425,435; Canadian Patent 2,248,114; and Japanese Patent 3,237,857 . A Continuation is in process to supplement the original filings, and related Provisional Patent Applications are also filed to protect all pertinent details of our products and technology.  Our unique trademarks have also been registered, as noted. Patent insurance will discourage deep-pocket infringers.

The Glove Radar® was developed and refined during  three years of intense R&D, prior to market introduction..  Extensive test and evaluation activities  successfully demonstrated accurate speed measuring performance throughout the range of ball velocities from 15 to over 104 miles per hour.   FCC equipment certification was granted in April, 1999, authorizing U.S. sales. Approval has also been received for radar sales in Canada, Australia, and the European Common Market. The Glove Radar® was introduced at The Super Show/99 in Atlanta and was selected as one of the top 20 New Sports Products of the Year.  The Swing Speed Radar® was also a semifinalist for Sports Product of the Year in 2003, as was the Swing Speed Radar® with Tempo Timer in 2005.  A Kick Speed Radar  will be offered for soccer training in 2006, as will a new Paintball RADARchron® with unique Rate-of-Fire capabilities also in 2006.
